Meet Vincent Chaperon Dom Perignon is a vintage Champagne brand named after a Benedictine monk who played a key role in improving Champagne quality. Its first vintage, 1921, was released in 1936, arriving in New York aboard the liner Normandie. Each vintage is a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, though the exact composition varies. As it ages, Dom Pérignon develops a distinctive bouquet of fresh toast and coffee, one of Champagne's most intriguing aromas.
In 2005, Vincent Chaperon joined Dom Perignon, beginning a 13-year apprenticeship with Richard Geoffroy. Their collaboration, built on mutual trust and a shared connection with nature, culminated in Chaperon succeeding Geoffroy as Chef de Cave on January 1, 2019.
