Denis Bachelet, modest and humble, has dedicated his life to the family domaine, with his inaugural vintage dating back to 1982. The farming practices are meticulous, the vines ancient, and yields kept exceptionally low. Every grape undergoes rigorous scrutiny. Regardless of appellation, the wines exude striking purity and possess the potential to gracefully age for a decade or more.
About The Varietal
For over two centuries, Aligoté has been integrated into the wine culture of Burgundy, where it was traditionally planted alongside Chardonnay. Over time, it has come to occupy less prestigious locations, including plateaus and valleys, as opposed to the more valuable land reserved for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
