2018 Rasa Vineyards "Occam's Razor" Red Blend (Columbia Valley, WA) 7R

"Aromas of black plum, blueberry, licorice, mocha and spices. A juicy, supple midweight with good peppery lift and shape to its dark berry, spice, menthol and herb flavors. In a very dry style, with sneaky flavor intensity and thrust... A bit darker and more brooding than the 2017 version, which was plumper at the same stage. Finishes with edgy tannins and repeating notes of licorice and pepper." - Stephen Tanzer

    About The Varietal

    Bordeaux Blend

A red Bordeaux blend primarily consists of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc, supplemented by smaller amounts of Malbec and Petit Verdot, with Carmenere occasionally included. While the term naturally applies to red wines from Bordeaux, it is also suitable for wines produced beyond the region, such as those from California, Washington, Argentina, and other locations.
