2019 Chateau de Nalys Chateauneuf-du-Pape (Rhone Valley, FR) 6R

The culmination of the Guigal family's Châteauneuf-du-Pape dream: three exceptional vineyards harmonizing in an intensely expressive, truly complete wine. The Grand Vin epitomizes the estate's style with its precise fruit, spice, and mineral notes, alongside a beautifully orchestrated structure that evolves and gains momentum with each sip.

Like all Nalys wines, the Grand Vin is a blend from all three vineyards, with a significant 50% contribution from La Crau, which imparts its intense structure. Predominantly crafted from old vine Grenache, complemented by a substantial portion of Syrah, and enhanced by other varietals, notably the estate's Mourvèdre, this wine embodies depth, complexity, and finesse.

    About The Varietal

    GSM Blend

The traditional and robust blend of Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre is typically linked to the southern Rhone, notably in Chateauneuf-du-Pape. However, exceptional wines with this blend are also crafted in the New World, with Australia and California standing out as regions that produce highly praised examples.
