2022 Christina Gruner Veltliner (Niederösterreich, AT) 4W

For a true and traditional expression of Austrian wine, look no further! Gruner Veltliner is the primary white grape of Austria, and this Gruner from Carnuntum is verdantly lovely, with notes of kiwi and honeydew melon.

    About The Varietal

    Gruner Veltliner

Grüner Veltliner, Austria's signature grape, holds the title of the most extensively cultivated wine grape in the country. As Austria re-establishes its prominence in the global wine market, the crisp and spicy Grüner Veltliner has become its leading and most representative wine.

    About The Producer

    Christina

Growing up on a family farm managed by her parents and grandparents, Christina actively participated in tasks across the farm. Her early involvement ignited a deep passion for loving the land. Upon joining her parents in the family winery in 2007, Christina dedicated her efforts to discovering the distinctive style of their unique wine-growing region, Carnuntum. Throughout this period, the significance of soil conditions, micro-climates, and natural elements in the vineyards became increasingly important to her practice. Influenced by these environmental factors and the experience of raising their two daughters, she decided to transition to organic production in 2013. The cute bugs on the labels are an ode to all insects inhabiting their vineyards.
