    2022 Giovanna Madonia Sangiovese (Emilia-Romagna, IT) 3R

Giovanna Madonia has been described by many as a force of nature - “honest, genuine and confident - just like her wines.” With three generations of winemaking under the Madonia family’s belt, this estate is now run by Giovanna and her daughters, who make an unstoppable team. They have risen to the ranks of elite Italian wine Producer, earning the first ever “Tre Bicchieri,” a global benchmark among winemakers and collectors, for their dry-styled Albana.

From 25+ year old vines come Giovanna’s Sangiovese grapes for this bottling. Flowery aromas of violet, cherries and red fruits mingle on an herbaceous and slightly spicy palate. The finish features bright acid and sharp minerality which makes this wine hard not to love!
