This rich and elegant Roussanne shows ripe citrus, orchard fruit and a touch of honeysuckle on the nose. The palate is juicy with meyer lemon, warmed yellow apple and peach pit, perfectly balanced by a mineral driven core.
About The Varietal
Roussanne is a white-wine grape, named for its skin color when ripe, displaying a reddish-gold pigment that corresponds to the French word "roux," signifying "russet" or reddish-brown. Believed to have originated in the northern Rhône Valley, it remains predominantly planted in this region in modern times.
