2023 Populis Rose (Mendocino, CA) 3P

Populis came about as a thirst to create lighthearted, naturally made, (almost too easily) drinkable wines from organically farmed vineyards throughout Northern California. This Rose of Carignane, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Muscat and French Colombard is fresh and tropical with a perfect balance of juiciness and crispness. We want to be drinking this all summer long!

    About The Varietal

    Carignan

Carignan is a grape variety with dark skin, believed to have originated in Aragon. This grape is prevalent in wines produced along the Mediterranean coast, particularly in northeastern Spain and the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. It is frequently used for blending with other significant regional grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvedre.
