Richard is an eminent New Yorker who consolidated a life-long passion for wine in 2000 when he purchased the Palazzone property. In spite of his important professional commitments he finds time to be present at the estate in the significant moments of the “wine year.” He is here to harvest in person and also to decide the wood aging and blending for each vintage.
This fascinating wine is a blend of Sangiovese from two vintages: 2016 (90%) and 2017 (10%), two truly excellent years. This soft and smooth red offers bright fruit and savory fig notes, with a rich mouthfeel and great length. Tons of quality for the price, here.

Sangiovese holds the distinction of being the most widely planted grape variety in Italy and plays a central role in the production of many top red wines in the Tuscany region.
