Before moving to France, Mee Godard studied wine in Oregon before working several vintages in Burgundy. Her love for Beaujolais started as it is one of the few regions in France where an aspiring winemaker can start their own winery. Mee runs a one Female show with pruning, farming and running her cellar, and her care is clear in all of her wines.
This wine is truly velvety on the palate showcasing flavors of plum, black cherry, violets, cinnamon and a layered earthiness tying it all together. This bottle has boundless potential for aging.
About The Varietal
While Gamay is renowned for creating the vibrant, fruit-forward red wines of Beaujolais, it is also cultivated in substantial quantities in different regions of the Loire Valley, Savoie, and western Switzerland.
Enjoy with grilled salmon or tuna, salty appetizers, or pizza night.
